Equinor – consent for exploration drilling in the Barents Sea

Equinor Energy (Equinor) have been given consent to drill an exploration well on the Snøhvit field (Askeladd).
The consent applies to the drilling of an exploration well more than 200 metres below the seabed, subject to the Regulations relating to management and the duty to provide information in the petroleum activities and at certain onshore facilities (the Management Regulations) § 25, 4 (a).
The well is to be drilled using the West Hercules mobile facility.
