SNC-Lavalin has been awarded a three year extension framework contract with a North Sea operator to provide engineering services. The scope of work, which will be executed by SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business, will include engineering expertise across process, structural, mechanical, materials and corrosion, safety, subsea and pipelines disciplines for day-to-day operations and management.
This innovative framework enables the client to create value from its operations while maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality. Within the contract, SNC-Lavalin will incorporate an innovative performance-based commercial model to further bring step changes to the OPEX costs in the North Sea. The work will also contribute to a reduction in emissions through end-to-end process, safety and subsea engineering.
Les Newman, Director, Resources UK & Europe, at SNC-Lavalin, said: “We look forward to continuing our relationship with this particular client whom we have supported over the last 10 years on some of its most challenging operational support packages.
“This framework extension highlights the strength and depth of our ability to bring true commercial innovation to established partnerships, extend economic operations on the UK Continental Shelf and support our client’s path to decarbonisation.”
