Wednesday 22 April 2020
Petroleum Safety Authority Norway have given Lundin Norway AS (Lundin) consent to perform manned underwater operations (MUO) on the Edvard Grieg field.
Operator: Lundin Norway AS
Field: Edvard Grieg
Scheduled start-up: Second or third quarter 2020.
Duration: 11 days.
About the consent: The consent covers work to tie the test production from the Rolvsnes reservoir to the Edvard Grieg facility.
16/1-12 (Rolvsnes/Edvard Grieg South) is a discovery in the central section of the North Sea, just south of the Edvard Grieg field. The water depth is 100 metres. The discovery was proven in 2009.
In 2019, the authorities approved an application for a year’s test production to help understand the reservoir. Test production is scheduled to start in 2021. The wellstream from Rolvsnes will be processed at Edvard Grieg.
