Equinor – Vigdis – Consent for Extended Operation

Petroleum Safety Authority Norway have given Equinor Energy consent to use the facilities on the Vigdis field beyond their original operating life.
Consent for operation of the Vigdis field expires on 9 March 2024. In order to recover the remaining reserves from the field, Equinor, the operator, has applied for consent to extend the operating life of the facilities on the field.
Petroleum Safety Authority Norway have now granted consent for the use of the facilities on the Vigdis field until 31 December 2040.
