Aker BP – Use of Deepsea Stavanger - Ærfugl

Petroleum Safety Authority Norway have given Aker BP consent to use the Deepsea Stavanger mobile drilling facility on the Ærfugl field in the Norwegian Sea.

The consent applies to the drilling of up to six production wells. Drilling is scheduled to begin in the second half of September 2019.

Deepsea Stavanger is a semi-submersible mobile drilling facility of the GVA 7500 type, built in South Korea in 2010. It is owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling.

We issued Deepsea Stavanger with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) on 16 March 2017.
