Offshore Wind Accelerator Tender: Floating Component Exchange Study

Call for entries from companies and consortia interested in undertaking a study assessing the use of floating lift vessels for major component exchange during the O&M phase of bottom-fixed offshore wind farms.
The main objectives of this competition is to:
1. Improve availability and flexibility of lifting operations
2. De-risk the use of floating heavy lift vessels in major component exchange operations for fixed bottom wind turbines
3. Assess the current stabilised heavy lift technologies including boom-end and pedestal compensation
4. Investigate time and cost savings over conventional jack-up vessels
Clarification questions should be received by 2nd July 2019 and the answers to these questions will be posted below by 04th July 2019.
The closing date to receive tender submissions is 12:00 (GMT+1) 16th July 2019.
