​Pil and Bue: Proposed Programme for Impact Assessment

VNG Norge submits proposed programme for impact assessment for development and operation of the Pil & Bue project in PL586.

VNG Norge AS is the operator of the Pil & Bue discoveries proven in production license 586 in the blocks 6406/11 and 12 in the Norwegian Sea. The licensees of the discoveries, VNG Norge (30%), Spike Exploration Holding (30%), Faroe Petroleum Norge (25%) and Pure E&P Norway AS (15%) plan to develop these discoveries and aim to deliver a Plan for development and operation to the authorities in spring 2017.

As stipulated in the Petroleum Act an impact assessment programme must be prepared before development can take place. On behalf of the licensees VNG Norge now submits a proposed programme for impact assessment for development and operation of the Pil & Bue project. The proposal presents alternative development scenarios, schedules and topics that will be studied furter in the impact assessment itself.

The proposed programme is submitted for public consultation with the relevant authorities, in accordance with the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. The deadline is set to 12 weeks.
