FMC Technologies has announced another successful milestone in executing the Tullow Oil led TEN Project, by delivering the project's eighth subsea tree four weeks ahead of schedule.

FMC Technologies is assembling and testing all subsea trees for the TEN Project - Ghana's next major offshore oil development - at its recently expanded, state-of-the-art facility in Takoradi. Awarded in 2013, the contract has led to training and development of highly skilled Ghanaians who represent 76 percent of the local workforce.

Weighing around 40 tons, the subsea trees are vital pieces of equipment which control the flow of fluids into and out of the oil and gas wells. A total of 22 subsea trees will be installed as part of the TEN Project - one for each well.

Since the Takoradi plant expansion in 2014, FMC Technologies has already delivered seven Tullow TEN trees, which are now deployed subsea in the TEN fields. Located at the Commercial Port in Takoradi, the 6,000 square-meter, custom built facility is specifically designed to support Tullow Oil's portfolio in Ghana.
