Van Oord Select Tekmar for Borssele 2

Tekmar Energy announced that international marine contractor Van Oord has selected the patented Tekmar Cable Protection System (CPS) TekLink® Mechanical Latch for the Borssele 2 (site III and IV) offshore wind farm.
Borssele 2 consisting of 77 turbines and a total of 731.5 MW, will go into construction off the coast of Zeeland, the Netherlands in 2020.
As part of the project, Tekmar will be supplying their latest TekLink® Generation 8 cable protection system.
The product will be produced within Tekmar’s state of the art manufacturing facility in the North East of England, which also recently became the first facility in the UK to achieve ISO 45001:2018 accreditation.
Borssele 2 mark Tekmar’s 65th project within the industry, taking the total number of systems over 6,200 and 21GW of protected electrical infrastructure worldwide.
