Maersk Mobilizer is Delivered
Friday 2 November 2018
Maersk Mobilizer delivered from Kleven today; the fifth of one series of six anchor traders for Maersk Supply Service A / S. Built for operation at large depths of water, the so-called Starfish series is equipped with a range of innovations, enough to ensure all sailboat jobs immediately after delivery.
Mærsk Mobiliser is of the type Salt 200, and has an open deck area of more than 800m2, with 102m2 of covered deck area as well. Ho is also equipped with an anchor handling winch of 450 tonnes. This is located in a closed garage so that crew and equipment are protected for the rough seamed vessels occasionally operating. Mærsk Mobiliser has ice class Ice 1A and is also prepared for oil collection. The traction of the vessel is measured at 260 tonnes.
Mærsk Mobiliser was dying during a single ceremony on kaia by Kleven Verft today, with Trine Munch Agerskov as godmother. The vessel will leave Kleven in the wake of mobilizing for its first job for one major Canadian operator as a drill support vessel, as well as halving offshore in the area.
The last ship in the series will be delivered from Kleven Verft at the end of January 2019.
