Wednesday 10 October 2018

Crondall Energy, the floating production and subsea specialists, has opened an office in London. The move is part of a wider growth strategy to capitalise on the increasing level of activity and opportunity within the upstream sector. The new office will enable Crondall Energy to be closer to its London-based oil and gas clients and to continue to attract the very best industry talent.

Duncan Brown, formerly of Petrofac, has joined the company as Subsea Manager, London. He will lead Crondall’s efforts in the area of subsea and pipelines. Brown has more than 26 years’ experience working with oil and gas engineering consultancies and major operators.

Crondall Energy is an independent oil and gas consultancy that provides strategic business and technical advisory services to the global energy sector. The company now has four UK offices in Winchester, London, Aberdeen and Newcastle plus offices in Stavanger and Singapore. It has worked on projects in all the major offshore oil and gas regions around the world.

Crondall Energy’s subsidiary, Buoyant Production Technology Ltd., recently launched a cross-industry initiative to develop a floating production buoy to unlock smaller North Sea reserves in partnership with the Oil and Gas Technology Centre’s Facilities of the Future programme. The subsea team is also leading a major joint-venture study into the reducing the cost and risk associated with anchoring pipelines to the seabed.
