Eni Norge AS is the operator for production licence 229 and has received consent to drill appraisal well 7122/7-7 S in the Barents Sea.

The well is in a prospect named Goliat West in block 7122/7 and block 7122/10.

Drilling will begin in November/December 2018 and is estimated to last 30 days.

Well 7122/7-7 S is to be drilled by the West Hercules mobile drilling facility. This is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the GVA 7500 type, operated by North Atlantic Drilling.

West Hercules was issued with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the PSA in December 2012.
