Petroleum Safety Authority Norway have given Equinor Energy AS consent to use the Songa Equinox mobile drilling facility on the Troll field in the North Sea.

The consent applies to the drilling and completion of well 31/2-O-25 AYH XT.

Expected start-up is 8 July 2018. The activity is expected to last 44 days.

The Troll field is located around 65 kilometres west of Kollsnes in Hordaland County and is the largest gas discovery made in the North Sea.
