Equinor has Received Consent for Exploration Drilling in the Barents Sea

Petroleum Safety Authority Norway have given Equinor Energy consent for exploration drilling of well 7324/3-1 in the Barents Sea.
The well is to be drilled to investigate a prospect named "Intrepid Eagle" which is around 172 kilometres south-east of Bjørnøya in production licence 615.
The geographical coordinates of the well will be:
73° 57’ 27.39’’ N
24° 41’ 04.09’’ E
Water depth at the site is 452 metres.
Drilling is scheduled to begin in mid-August 2018. It is estimated to last for 28 days, depending on whether a discovery is made.
The well is to be drilled by the West Hercules mobile drilling facility. This is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the GVA 7500 type, operated by North Atlantic Drilling.
West Hercules was issued with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the PSA in December 2012.
