Consent for Use of Deepsea Stavanger on the Alvheim Field

Aker BP has received consent to use Deepsea Stavanger to drill well 4/6-B-6 on the Alvheim field.

Aker BP is the operator of the Alvheim field, which is an oil and gas field in the central part of the North Sea, west of Heimdal and close to the boundary with the UK sector. Water depth in the area is approximately 124 metres.

Petroleum Safety Authority Norway have given Aker BP consent to use the Deepsea Stavanger mobile drilling facility to drill on the field.

Deepsea Stavanger is a semi-submersible mobile drilling facility of the GVA 7500 type, built in South Korea in 2010. It is owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling.

Petroleum Safety Authority Norway issued Deepsea Stavanger with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) on 16 March 2017.
