Friday 6 April 2018
The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy approved plans for the development and operation of Fenja in the Norwegian Sea.
The partnership will invest 10.2 billion kroner in development, and the field has planned production start in 2021. State Council Søviknes presented the news at this year's Norwegian Sea Conference in Stjørdal today, the theme of which was Energy Change.
Fenja is being built with 2 seabed frames and 6 wells connected to the Njord field. The recoverable reserves of the field are around 100 million barrels of oil equivalents. The planned production period is 16 years.
