Aker BP has Received Consent for Exploration Drilling in the Barents Sea

Aker BP is the operator for production licence 659 in the Barents Sea. Petroleum Safety Authority Norway have now given the company consent to drill exploration well 7221/12-1 to investigate a prospect named "Svanefjell", around 65 kilometres north-north-east of the Snøhvit field.
The planned start-up is April 2018.
The drilling location's geographical coordinates will be:
72° 08' 18.679" N
21° 55' 50.315" E
Water depth at the site is 345 metres.
The well is to be drilled by the Deepsea Stavanger mobile drilling facility.
Deepsea Stavanger is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the GVA 7500 type, built in South Korea in 2010. It is owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling. We issued Deepsea Stavanger with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) on 16 March 2017.
