The consent applies to the use of Songa Endurance for drilling, completion, workover, intervention and plugging (P&A) of well 31/2-X-11 CH.

Water depth at the site is 332 metres.

The drilling operations are scheduled to begin in March and are expected to last 43 days.

Songa Endurance is a semi-submersible drilling facility. The facility received Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA on 17 December 2015.

The Troll field is located around 65 kilometres west of Kollsnes in Hordaland County and is the largest gas discovery made in the North Sea.

We have now granted consent to use Songa Endurance on the Troll field in accordance with Statoil's application.
