Statoil Given Consent for Exploration Drilling in the North Sea

Statoil Petroleum AS is the operator of production licence 167. The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority have given the company consent to drill exploration well 16/1-29 S.

Drilling is planned to start in February 2018, with a duration of around 37 days, depending on whether a discovery is made.

The well is situated in the North Sea and the drilling location's geographical coordinates will be:

58° 58' 22.23" N

02° 17' 44.15" E

Deepsea Bergen is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the Aker H-3.2 type, built at Aker Verdal in 1983. It is owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling. It is classified by DNV GL and registered in Norway.

Deepsea Bergen was issued with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the PSA in December 2001.
