Consent to Use Songa Enabler on the Skarv Field

Aker BP ASA has received consent to use Songa Enabler for well intervention on wells 6507/5-A-3, 6507/5-B-6 and 6507/5-B-8 on the Skarv field.

The Skarv field is in the Norwegian Sea, around 200 kilometres west of Sandnessjøen, in an area where the water depth is 300-450 metres.

The planned start-up is September 2017 with a duration of around 2 months.

Songa Enabler is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the CAT D type. It was delivered by the Daewoo yard in South Korea in 2016, is registered in Norway and classified by DNV-GL.

Songa Enabler was issued with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the PSA in July 2016.
