BP is holding on to a Rowan jack-up for one more well off Trinidad, with the UK supermajor also likely to have extended a deal for another unit in the country.

Rowan also said its jack-up Ralph Coffman has secured a contract extension for one more well in Trinidad. The customer was not identified, but BPTT has previously been reported as having the rig as recently as this year. The extension runs until December.

Total has also signed up for the jack-up Rowan Gorilla V for two years off the UK, beginning in mid-September. The French supermajor also has a single 180-day priced option, but no financial details were disclosed.

Repsol Sinopec Resources UK has taken the jack-up Rowan Norway for a 90-day accommodation contract in the UK North Sea, with two 30-day priced options. The rate for the charter, which began earlier this month, was not disclosed.

Spain’s Repsol has also taken the jack-up Rowan Stavanger for plug-and-abandon work off Norway for around 225 days beginning in September. Repsol also has six priced options for 60 days each. No dayrate was revealed.

Swedish independent Lundin Petroleum has extended its deal with the jack-up Rowan Viking off Norway for 180 days until August next year at $206,000 a day.
