French Floater Seeks Cable Guys

EDF Energies Nouvelle has issued a tender for turnkey services for the export and array cables for the 24MW Provence Grand Large floating offshore wind farm off the coast of France.
The tender also seeks subsea accessories, landfall junction box and associated equipment services.
The turnkey contract would include design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, transportation, storage, installation, testing, commissioning and other services, according to the tender documents.
It is estimated that 3km of array cabling will be required, together with a 19km export link and 30km onshore link, as well as 10km of fibre optic cables, the documents said.
The contract will run for two years.
The tender deadline is 11am local time on 28 August.
The Provence Grand Large project will be located off the coast of Marseille and will consist of three 8MW Siemens turbines.
It is scheduled to be commissioned in 2020.
