A new framework agreement has been awarded to Ramboll by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) for consultancy services related to technology, risks, plans, and costs.

The framework agreement is part of NPD’s plans to develop new fields and improve recovery from producing fields. NPD has awarded a total of 6 framework agreements and Ramboll has won “Development technology and operation of installations and facilities” framework agreement.

“NPD is an important client for us and we are extremely happy to win this award. I believe that our knowledge of the Norwegian regulatory frameworks and the successful collaboration with the client on the concept study for minimum-facility platforms for the Norwegian Continental Shelf has proved very useful in winning the new frame agreement and we are looking forward to continuing our strategic partnership with NPD” says Dag A. Nilsen, Business Development Director.

The frame agreement is valid for two years with option for renewal with one + one year. The scope of work covers evaluation of development concepts; production facilities, processing and water treatment; maintenance, operation and late phase production; flexibility for handling contingency, uncertainties and connections to third part; power generation, electrification, air pollution and environment; infrastructure solutions for oil, gas, and LNG.

NPD is a well-established Norwegian organisation that reports to the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. The governmental specialist and administrative body contributes to the Norwegian society from oil and gas activities through efficient and responsible resource management.
