McConnell Dowell Awarded Tangguh Expansion Project

McConnell Dowell are pleased to announce they have been awarded a major marine development in Indonesia.
The BP LNG Tangguh Expansion Project was awarded to McConnell Dowell by PT Saipem Indonesia (PTSI), and work is set to begin immediately with completion expected in early 2019.
The development will involve the construction of a Bulk Offloading Facility, the LNG and condensate loading jetty, pipelines and new wellhead platforms as well as the redevelopment of the existing onshore Tangguh Brownfield site.
Onshore works will include an additional natural gas liquefaction train, an onshore receiving facility (ORF), new LNG and condensate loading berth, additional Boil of Gas (BOG) recovery, utilities, flares and other supporting infrastructures.
Managing Director - South East Asia, Murray Dundas said McConnell Dowell are industry leaders in projects of this scope and expertise.

The scope of works include:
Bulk Offloading Facility (BOF)
Construction of the following:
Two finger piers (80m x 20m) and a 60m Ro-Ro quay wall;
Installation of sheet piles, tie-rods and waling beams, with 500m concrete capping beam;
Installation of Marine furniture (fenders, bollards, ladders);and
Installation of a floating pontoon with gangway and catwalks to the Passenger Terminal.
LNG & Condensate Loading Jetty 2
Design, supply, installation, construction, testing and commissioning of the following:
Abutment and shoreline rock protection;
Access trestle;
Loading Platform and Impounding basin (29m x 51m);
6 Mooring and 4 Berthing Dolphins;
Oil Spill Response Facility and Tug Berths;
Impressed Current Cathodic Protection;
Marine equipment (ie. Fenders, Ladders, QRH, Navigation aids, BAS & EMS); and
Catwalks (2m wide) between dolphins/platform and 2 Access Gangway Towers.
