Veripos to Keep Providing Positioning Services to Subsea 7 fleet
Thursday 9 February 2017
Veripos has signed a contract extension for high-precision positioning services with subsea engineering, construction, and services company, Subsea 7.
Veripos, a provider of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) positioning services to the offshore oil and gas industry, recently said that the multi-year extension is a continuation of its existing positioning services contract with Subsea 7.
The contract extension means that Veripos will continue providing services to Subsea 7 during both vessel dynamic positioning and survey requirements across its entire global fleet of marine vessels.
John MacLeod, General Manager for EAME at Veripos, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to extend our successful, long-term partnership with Subsea 7. With the challenging market conditions that exist in today’s oil and gas sector, we look forward to continuing our work with Subsea 7 to execute their highly complex offshore positioning projects efficiently and effectively to help protect against costly downtime.”
Aside from the business partnership through this contract, Veripos was for years a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of Subsea 7, acquired by information technologies provider Hexagon in February 2014.
