Ultra Deep Solutions Orders New HD ROV

Ultra Deep Solutions (UDS), has secured a new contract today for one HD ROV from manufacturer FMC Technologies Schilling Robotics through Flash Tekk. The 4,000-meter rated HD system will be delivered and will mobilize in December 2015.

UDS has signed with China Merchants Heavy Industries (CMHI), to design and construct of 3 units of the Marin Teknikk (MT) - designed construction vessels MT6023, designed to operate worldwide. This marks another important milestone in the history of Ultra Deep Solutions, in line with the company's strategic plan to spearhead the development and operation of efficient, cost-effective diving and support vessels in the oil and gas industry.

The custom-designed DP2 MT6023 DSCV vessel, classed under Det Norsk Veritas (DNV), is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, which allows the vessel to operate in unrestricted waters for subsea support works. She is also equipped with a heave compensated 150T crane (depth of 3000m), a 18-men saturation system twin 18-men SPHL up to a depth of 300m, and WROV with LARS system.
