Sonangol and Partners Begin Production at the Mafumeira Sul Field, Offshore Angola

Sonangol and its partners in Block Zero - Cabinda Gulf Oil Company, Total E & P Angola and Eni Angola, announce the start on October 31, 2016, of the Early Production System (EPS) operations in South Wellhead Platform of the Mafumeira Sul project, located off the Coast of Malongo, in the province of Cabinda.
While creating the conditions for the full operation of the project in the coming months, EPS will operate with a maximum production capacity of 10,000 bpd. This event represents another important step for the Angolan oil sector and for increasing domestic production.
The Mafumeira Sul project, belonging to Zero Block, is located about 24 kilometers (15 miles) off the coast of Malongo and is installed in waters where the depth is approximately 60 meters (200 feet)
