The Ministry of Climate, Energy and Supply grants the first permits in Danish history for full-scale CO2 storage in the Danish part of the North Sea

The Danish Energy Agency has now assessed the applications and has recommended that the Minister for Climate, Energy and Supply award the first three exclusive exploration licenses for full-scale CO2 storage in the North Sea to TotalEnergies and a consortium consisting of INEOS E&P and Wintershall DEA. The permits are an important step towards the realization of Denmark's CCS strategy and will kick-start the plan for the development of full-scale CO2 storage in Denmark.
