Sea Trucks Lands Magallanes work

Dutch services player Sea Trucks Group (STG) has won two contracts to work at Magallanes gas field off Argentina.

The vessel owner landed a contract from state player ENAP Sipetrol for a pipelay construction project at the field in the far south region of the South American nation.

The deal includes engineering project management, the installation of three pipelines of between 6 and 14 inch-diametre each, the installation of tie-in spools and risers and one shore approach. It also includes the abandonment of two existing lines and recovery of flexibles.

Offshore work will being in the fourth quarter, with water depths at the field up to 70 metres.

On foot of that contract, STG also scooped a deal to provide accommodation services. Both contracts will be completed by its Jascon 34 DP3 pipelay construction and accommodation unit.
