The agreement is one out of several contracts awarded by Wintershall for supply of well completion equipment and services on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The contract is valid for the Maria and Brage fields with a fixed period of four years and may be extended by as many as four years.
There is also an option to use the contracts for Wintershall’s operated Skarfjell development in the future.
“This is a very critical contract for TCO. It strengthens our position in the home market, and we are very pleased with the long-term commitment and opportunity to work alongside one of the most important operators on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, says Halle Aslaksen, CEO of TCO”.
“These contracts are a win-win business for Wintershall and our partners in Norway. They give us the certainty of a robust solution for our drilling activities in the months and years to come, as well as the flexibility to use them on our developments in the future. In a challenging market environment, these are also important contracts for the Norwegian supplier market,” said Bernd Schrimpf Wintershall Norge Managing Director.
The TCO Chemical Injection Systems are based on high-end Chemical Injection Valves which provide the hydrostatic support required to eliminate the U-tube effect in chemical injection systems.
