The first subsea cable laying work of Binh Dai 310MW Offshore Wind Farm project officially started earlier this week.
“As the Engineering&Procurement&Construction contractor of this project for subsea cable package, we are honored to contribute ourselves to the first Vietnam offshore wind farm development. After a few months’ preparations for cable production, transportation, CLV mobilization and installation at site, we are now already to start the construction. Though we have faced enormous challenges in carrying out the works under Covid-19 situation, we believe there is a commitment to our customers to reach the goals”, said Mr. Yang Fan, project manager of this subsea cable project, who has been working on-site since Oct. 2020.
Binh Dai 310MW offshore wind farm project is located in Binh Dai District, Thua Duc Commune in Vietnam. It’s designed to use 35kV submarine cable connecting the offshore WTGs(14 strings) to the onshore substation directly. Detailed work includes pre/post survey, pre-lay grapnel run(PLGR),cable burial to a depth of 2.5m to 1.5m, inspection and testing of the cable post burial. So far, the civil work and land cable portion have been completed, and the first subsea cable laying officially starts earlier this week.
