Polar Marquis Begins Black Sea Shoot
Tuesday 17 May 2016
A 3D seismic vessel Polar Marquis has kicked off a survey in the Black Sea, Dolphin Geophysical informed through its social media on Monday .
The 119 meters long vessel, capable of deploying 16 streamers, is owned and managed by a Norwegian company GC Rieber. In addition to Polar Marquis, Dolphin had three more seismic vessels from GC Rieber.
However, Dolphin Group filed for bankruptcy on December 14, 2015 following the board conclusion that there is no longer a basis for continued operations.
The petition for bankruptcy did not include UK part of the company, Dolphin Geophysical Ltd, as they’ve continued to operate as normal, including the Singapore and US businesses.
Dolphin’s UK division did not disclose the name of the client nor the duration of the project.
