The PNE Group, which is internationally active in the development and operation of renewable energy projects, is starting the construction of two further wind farms in Poland. These projects will have a total nominal output of around 59 MW.
The start of construction of the “Krzecin” wind farm is imminent. In this project, eight Nordex N117 wind turbines with a total nominal output of around 19 MW are being built in the north-west of Poland. The construction phase should be completed by the end of 2021.
In addition, the construction of the “Kuslin” wind farm in western Poland is to begin in a few weeks. Twelve Vestas V126 wind turbines will then be built here. The nominal output of the wind farm will be around 40 MW. The construction phase should be completed in the first half of 2022.
“With these two wind energy projects, we are continuing our successful commitment in the growing Polish market for renewable energy. This is a further contribution to the fact that Poland can achieve the goals it has set for 2030 in terms of climate protection and the reduction of emissions, ”explains Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE AG.
The investment volume for the two wind farms is around 100 million euros. The project financing was secured with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and BayernLB. Sevivon Sp. Z oo, a company of the PNE Group in the Polish market, took over the two projects in development and, with its extensive expertise, developed them to be ready for construction and financially viable.
