New Bittern well on production

Tailwind Energy Ltd (Tailwind) is pleased to announce the safe and successful drilling, completion and flow-back of the B5 production well in the Bittern Field, UKCS.
B5 is a sidetrack of an existing Bittern well and has been a close collaboration between the field operator, Dana Petroleum (E and P) Limited, Waldorf Production UK Limited, Petrofac Facilities Management Ltd, Stena Drilling Ltd and Tailwind. B5 was completed significantly under-budget and encountered excellent reservoir quality with a gross oil column of 130ft. Following successful drilling and completion operations the well was handed back to the Triton FPSO in October. After an initial clean-up period, well production rates have stabilised in excess of 5,000 barrels of oil per day. B5 will contribute material incremental production to a mature UK field and further underscores Tailwind’s commitment to maximising the economic recovery of its assets. Tailwind holds 64.63% equity in the Bittern Field.
